MS-CC NOLA Workshop participants gather for a group photo.

The Minority Serving – Cyberinfrastructure Consortium (MS-CC) organized a free two-day National Science Foundation-funded workshop in New Orleans, Louisiana. The MS-CC workshop was hosted at HBCU campuses, Dillard University on Nov. 15, 2023, located at 2601 Gentilly Blvd New Orleans, LA 70122, and Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) on Nov. 16. 2023, located at 6400 Press Drive, New Orleans, LA 70126.

We designed a hands-on workshop experience for leadership, faculty, researchers, IT staff, and students from historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) that provided information, tools, and resources to support and enable many day-to-day activities on their campus.

The workshop provided opportunities for networking and connecting with HBCU peers, potential collaborators, and partners via breakout sessions, discussion groups, and hosted meals. Please read the workshop agendas (below) for additional details.

The workshops are funded by the NSF OAC 2137123 awarded to the Minority Serving – Cyberinfrastructure Consortium (MS-CC) and Internet2

Participants in the NOLA workshop pose for a group photo.

Informal networking opportunities provided participants with opportunities to meet and build connections with peers and cybersecurity professionals and leadership from regional and national non-profit organizations supporting the research and education community in the U.S.

COVID-19 Information

The COVID-19 situation in the United States is fluid, and we continue to monitor developments that may impact attendees for the MS-CC Cyberinfrastructure and Cybersecurity Workshop. In order to stay current, check this page periodically leading up to the workshop.
