Governance

The Membership & Nominating Committee (MNC) is responsible for identifying and onboarding new MS-CC members, as well as overseeing the nominations for the CLB (Council Leadership Board). Additionally, the MNC is in charge of nominating officers for the CLB and setting up application procedures and standards. The committee consists of 3-7 representatives and is co-chaired by Bobby Clark, Clemson University, and Tom Jackson, North Carolina A&T State University.

The Programs & Priorities Committee (PPC) is responsible for providing guidance on MS-CC priorities and programs, and serves as steering committee for ongoing activities that are funded by the National Science Foundation. In addition to this, the PPC establishes specialized working groups that focus on specific MS-CC programs and initiatives. The committee consists of 3-7 representatives and is chaired by Joey Brenn, Claflin University.

The Research & Learning Working Group (RLWG) is responsible for identifying research and learning efforts within the MS-CC programs. Led by Dr. Richard Aló from Florida A&M University, the working group works towards improving research support and cyberinfrastructure to support better learning environments for both students and faculty.

The Finance & Development Committee (FDC) is responsible for identifying and pursuing funding opportunities for future projects or initiatives and is also responsible for budget oversight. The committee includes the MS-CC Chair, Vice-Chair, and 3-7 representatives.
