MS-CC Undergraduate Summer Research Internship Symposium 2026

The MS-CC Undergraduate Research Symposium is a day dedicated to celebrating the remarkable achievements of our emerging scholars and the power of collaborative research. Hosted at Meharry Medical College in collaboration with Fisk University, this symposium brings together students, mentors, and community members to honor the hard work and dedication of our outstanding interns representing HBCUs across the country. 

These talented students have successfully completed the 2026 MS-CC Undergraduate Research Internship and are ready to share their discoveries with you. Their presentations reflect not only individual achievement but also the strength of what we can accomplish together.

10:00 AM – 10:15 AM Welcome & Opening Remarks Opening address from the MS-CC leadership, MMC, and Fisk hosts. Overview of the summer internship program.
10:15 AM – 11:00 AM Keynote Presentation
11:00 AM – 11:15 AM Morning Break & Transition
11:15 AM – 12:15 PM Oral Presentation Session 3 Student Groups (2-3 students per group)
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM Networking Luncheon Buffet lunch served for all attendees.

1:30 PM – 2:30 PM Oral Presentation Session 4 Student Groups (2-3 students per group)
2:30 PM – 2:45 PM Afternoon Break & Transition
2:45 PM – 3:45 PM Open Poster Session & Reception Visual Research Experience
• Attendees browse student poster boards.
• Lite refreshments served.
3:45 PM – 4:30 PM Closing Remarks & Awards Presentation of completion certificates, closing thank-yous, and group photo.

Click here to access the Meharry Medical College map. Free event parking available. Parking will most likely be relaxed during the symposium and in the hours afterward. Do Not park in RESERVED SPACES; please utilize 4th level and up of lot K and (pay attention to signs when using street parking). Please contact Alexia Jones to have your name added to the parking list.
